Silent Read ~ Students are required to bring a chapter book
to ALL core classes. The activity this week will be bookmarks.
They are white and should be kept in your students book. Enjoy your books!!!!!
We did not have language
arts today. Instead, we worked on a social studies mapping
project.
Newbery Book Report: The book report we will be working on
for this marking period is the Newbery Book Report. Each
student chose a Newbery Medal book to use for their report.
The students were given a packet which outlines the assignment and
walks them through each of the steps. If they work on this
throughout the allotted time, the assignment is not overwhelming.
Please make sure your student looks carefully at the rubric provided
in their packet as this is what I will use in the grading process.

Reminder: I will give 5% extra credit on a quiz
or test if you bring in a signed note stating that you studied for
20 minutes or more.
Newbery Book Report: This is an ongoing project which
will be due Dec. 5.
